Day six - Virginia (Sunday)

Sunday was spent mostly in the hotel because Annie wasn't feeling well, but she managed to work up enough strength towards the end of the day to head to Washington D.C. for a few hours.

First stop: Constitution Ave.
Washington Monument

The Atlantic side of the WWII Memorial

Some of the states that are represented in the WWII Memorial

I loved all the old buildings

Looking across the lawn and reflecting pool to the Lincoln Memorial

The White House

I don't remember what this building is

Next stop: Georgetown
I really liked the old buildings in Georgetown, and it was a great place for people watching. So most of these next pictures are just of the area, I don't know specific names of the buildings.

This is the Old Stone House built in 1765, and is the oldest known private home in Washington D.C.

The walkway to the garden
We had dinner here in Georgetown at a little pizza place, I really liked the atmosphere of the place, but the food was not anything to rave about, unfortunately.
Later that evening we went to Annie's Aunt Martha and Uncle Paul's home in Arlington, VA which was surprisingly close to Georgetown. We had a nice visit with them and got to enjoy seeing some more fireflys.
