Cooking Club: Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream

Cooking Club round 2 was hosted by Aunt Cindi and her daughter Sarah. Sarah thought it would be fun to make ice cream with liquid nitrogen. Let me just say that it was really fun and the ice cream was killer! I don't think I've tasted a smoother ice cream. The liquid nitrogen freezes the ingredients so fast, that they don't have time to form crystals, thus creating a very smooth texture.

Making the first batch.

It looked so cool when they were pouring it in.

Strawberry

Jeff mixing up the chocolate.

Nutella Chocolate
by far my favorite!

Batch #3

Vanilla

Jeff dipped a flower in the liquid nitrogen and then shattered it on the ground.

Michael Buble

Annie's three best friends from childhood came to town to go to the Michael Buble concert with us and we had a blast! It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. If you've never seen him in concert, I highly recommend it! Besides the fact that he is an exceptional singer, he is hilarious too! He was constantly cracking jokes so it was a concert and a stand up comedy act in one. =]

Kellen Moore, BSU's quarterback was behind us when we were driving to the concert. Beth jumped out of the car when we stopped to get a picture of him for Ann Marie's brother.

Abby worked late the night before and had to drive back to SLC early the next morning, so she was getting a little nap in before the show started.

An a cappella group called Naturally 7 opened the show, and they were amazing! They did all of the instrument sounds with their voices!

I wish I would have kept my camera going for Michael Buble's introduction. It was awesome, but I guess I was just too excited for the show to start.

These girls were so much fun to hang out with. It was a great night and I can't wait to hang out with them again!

Swiss Picnic / Small Family Reunion

It's that time of year again, where all the Swiss people in Boise gather together to share our special heritage, eat good food, enjoy each others company, and talk about Switzerland. With Jack being here, he finally got to wear his Bitsch #9 shirt!

Trying to ride the St. Bernard like a horse.

Gotta love those baby blues!

Auctioning off some things that were donated to raise money to pay for renting the shelter.

I love listening to the Alp horn.

After the picnic, we went to my cousin Savannah's house because two of my Aunt's and some of their kids were in town. It made for a very nice impromptu family reunion.

These are the two cousins that I would usually run around with at family reunions.
