I love when spring finally arrives! I love the warm weather, blue skies, flowers and the birds chirping outside. I bought some tulips to bring a little spring into the house and of course had to pull out the camera and take a few pics.

Over the weekend I went to a photography workshop here in Boise put on by Rocky Mountain School of Photography. It's a photography school in Missoula Montana. I found out about it from a brochure in the mail, thanks to my friends over at B&H Photo. It was a great weekend with a lot of information and some great tips. I just hope that I can remember everything I learned when it comes time to put them to use. Good thing I took a lot of notes! There were a few things that I had learned in my college photo class, that were nice refreshers. Then there was a lot of things that were new. One of the things I learned was about the quality of light and the photography color wheel. I didn't learn the color wheel stuff in college, because the only class I took was the B&W class and dark room. Without going into way too much detail, basically by changing your white balance to a certain setting, when you have a cloudy gray sky, and making sure you're not overexposing the photo, you get this amazing beautiful blue sky!
This was Monday night when I was playing with the camera
This is what you get when it's cloudy gray outside and you just let the camera choose the settings. Not so pretty, right?
This is what you get when you change your white balance and control the settings a little more. Nothing but beautiful blue sky!
I love photography! Can't wait to try out some more of the fun stuff I learned. Can't wait to learn more great stuff about photography!

Topher and Sarah were in Idaho for spring break and on their way back to Oregon, they stopped in to spend a couple of nights with us. We got together on Thursday night for pizza at Heather and Brandon's house and it turned into a little game night. We had everyone there except for Mike and Grandma and Grandpa Barrus were there too. They were in Boise for a wedding reception. I didn't get any pictures of them or my mom cause they were just there for pizza and then they had to go to the reception. Here are the rest of us enjoying each others company.
Simpson's Clue. Topher got a kick out of Smither's being in a maids outfit.
Playing with the new camera lens.
Brandon acting oh so excited to have his picture taken.

One of my favorite holidays because it's all about wearing green! Ok, maybe just a little about wearing green. Either way, green is my favorite color so this makes for a perfect holiday! I celebrated with the Boyles Family (Annie's Aunt and Uncle) . We celebrated by eating corned beef and cabbage, which is soooo good. I highly recommend everyone try this dish at least once. The name may not make it sound good, but it is so delicious! Then for dessert, I made my famous red velvet cupcakes dyed green for the holiday. I didn't get any pictures while at dinner, but here's a picture of my cupcakes.

Danielle's husband Jeremy (Allison's older sister and brother-in-law) got baptised! It was a wonderful and emotional evening. I think the whole Bodily family has been waiting for this day for a long time. :) Here are a few pics of some of the Bodily family after the baptism was over.

I thought it was fitting that my 100th post is about a special little girl that entered the world on March 12th, 2010. Allison had her baby in the afternoon and she is just absolutely beautiful. I stole these pictures off Allison's page, hope she doesn't mind. :)

This is the St. Patty's Day outfit I bought for Isla and I must say she wears it well, even though it's just a touch big on her. :)
Rees with his new little sister. So Precious! Love that they both have their green on for St. Patrick's Day.
