Halloween Birthday Bash!
27 years ago, a beautiful baby girl was brought into this world...that was me! :) My birthday was on a Wednesday this year and so I had to work on my birthday. It was a pretty uneventful day with a few little surprises here and there. I got many phone calls from family and friends, and birthday wishes on facebook. One of my favorite things about my birthday is when my Grandma and Grandpa Barrus call and sing Happy Birthday while my Grandpa plays the ukulele. Since my birthday was on a weekday, Heather decided to throw my birthday party on Friday -Halloween- I think it was my first ever Halloween Birthday party and it was a success. Though I think I prefer to seperate my holidays. :)

Annie and I dressed up as the Joker from the new Batman. The Joker dressed up as a nurse in the new movie, which is what I was trying to simulate. I borrowed my moms old nursing uniform when she first started working as a nurse back in the 70's. Annie did a better job of pulling off the Joker than I did, but it was still fun.
Me and my mom. She was dressed up as her 70's self.
Heather left this note on the bathroom mirror for me to find Wednesday morning
Stacy my friend from work, dropped off these beautiful flowers and some donuts for me to enjoy while I was at work. I think everyone else at work got to enjoy a donut before I did because we were quite busy that day. It was almost lunch time before I got to have one. I was glad she brought them though.
Doesn't she make the best Lucy? Jason was dressed as V from the movie V for Vendetta
Here he is holding Lucy hostage
And now she is giving him a kiss
My delicious chocolate, peanut butter, banana cake that Heather created. Though it was little hard to cut because the peanut butter layer got hard.
The family, minus Mike, Sarah and Topher. I was trying to make a scary Joker face, but it came off looking more like I just didn't want to smile with my teeth. :)
Jenetta the mouse, Jodi the gangsta, and Annie the Joker
Joker and the Cat

Sheena the pirate (she had a cute little parrot to sit on her shoulder, but it liked to fall off.) And Dane the gangsta basketball player

He had a friend that owns a denture lab make him some fangs that clip onto his teeth to complete the costume

70's Birthday Bash
To celebrate Heather's 30th birthday, I decided that we should have a 70's themed party since Heather was born in 1978. Besides, we needed to do something a little more exciting than our average birthday party since she was welcoming a new decade into her life. I went to Zurcher's and picked up some disco decorations, and DI for my 70's attire. Heidi P. made the delicious fondue that we had (chocolate, raspberry, alfredo, and marinara) and picked up all the yummy things to dip. I couldn't believe how much food we had, I think more than we've had for any other party! We had a good turn out of about 20-25 people and even with all of them, we still ended up with a fair amount of leftovers. Here are a few pictures of the family and friends that came and partied with us.
Sarah, Heather, Heidi, and Shauna (Thanks for dressing up girls!)
Our home teacher Cade. He kept going back for more food, but still didn't make a dent in it.
The mini disco ball I found at Zurcher's. I was a little disappointed that it didn't work very well. It spun way way to fast. :(
Little Dallas Thornton. Isn't he so cute?! (Sorry Toby and Tammy, I kept trying to get a picture of the two of you together, but you were never by each other and then I forgot before you let. Oops. ) But Tammy is in the background of this shot. :)
Heather showing off the delicious food we were having
The awesome cake that Heidi made for Heather
What is a 70's party without disco napkins? I love Zurcher's for all the way cool disco things they had!
BSU game at the Barn
Annie's Aunt and Uncle have some friends that own this barn that is really cool. They use it to host BSU away games. Annie and I got to go for the Oregon vs. BSU game a few weeks ago and it was a lot of fun. Not only was it a good game, but we enjoy some delicious food as well. Of course I had to take some pictures while I was there, but I forgot to get pictures of the inside where we were watching the game. It was all decked out in BSU gear. The last two pictures are just some pictures I took of a really pretty red plant and the rain drops on my moon roof.
This is the upstairs part of the barn, kitchen/loft area. On the other side where I was standing there is a bed and a couple of couches with a tv. There is also a bathroom off to the left of this photo.
